Reverse Engineering

Reverse Engineering of Plastic Automotive Component

​We reverse-engineered a plastic component by first 3D scanning it to capture its exact geometry, which allowed us to create a detailed CAD file. Using this CAD model, we 3D printed prototypes in ABS plastic using FDM technology and tested them within the full assembly to ensure they fit and functioned perfectly. Through multiple iterations, we refined the design until the component met all performance and quality requirements. Once finalized, the part was shipped to the client, with small unit production available. We also informed the client that we could liaise with a larger manufacturer to produce high quantities if needed.

We designed and 3D printed a large water turbine, combining reverse engineering with original design work. Part of the turbine was reverse engineered to replicate existing components, while other sections were designed from scratch to meet specific requirements. Design and Manufacture of Two Smart Devices

We developed two smart devices designed to measure water flow: a display unit and a sensor clip. Starting with client-supplied renders, we created detailed CAD files for both devices, which were then 3D printed for prototyping. Custom PCBs were designed and manufactured, incorporating Bluetooth capability to connect to a smartphone app. Firmware was developed, and rigorous testing was conducted to validate functionality, accuracy, and communication between the display, sensor clip, and the smartphone app, resulting in a fully integrated and operational solution.

Design and Manufacture of Car Wheel with LED's

We developed a real car wheel featuring sensor-activated LED lighting. The process began with creating a 3D-printed prototype to validate the concept and design. A custom PCB and firmware were developed to control the LED lighting system. The prototype was tested under centrifugal forces to evaluate the performance of the electronics during wheel rotation. Once the initial tests were successful, a real metal wheel was CNC machined to precise dimensions, and the electronics and firmware were seamlessly integrated. The final wheel was rigorously tested to ensure durability and functionality before being shipped to the client.
